Privacy & Data Protection Notice

Brú Na Learning Limited (“the Company”) provides SafePort as an educational ESG crisis simulation. This notice explains the information processed when facilitators and teams use the simulation.

• Session information: a session name, six-character session code, status, current round and session events.
• Team gameplay: the team name entered by participants, decisions, scores, progress and activity timestamps. Participants should use a team name rather than a person’s name.
• Facilitator access: a facilitator PIN is used to control and manage sessions. It is not intended to identify an individual.
• Basic usage information: the hosting platform may provide aggregate information such as page visits, device category, general location derived from network information and session duration.

Session information is used only to run the simulation, synchronise teams across laptops, restore play after a refresh, display live leaderboards and support the group debrief. Results are visible to participants in the same session and to its facilitator. We do not sell participant information or use it for advertising.

Multiplayer session data is stored in SafePort’s hosted database until a facilitator deletes or resets the session. Deleting a session also deletes its teams, decisions and event history. The solo demo runs in browser memory and is cleared when the page is reloaded or closed. Limited browser storage is described in the Cookie & Browser Storage Notice.

Do not enter personal or sensitive information as a team or session name. You may ask the facilitator who invited you to rename a session or delete its gameplay data. Depending on where you live, data protection law may also give you rights to access, correct, restrict or erase personal information and to object to certain processing.

SafePort is designed for facilitated education and professional development. It does not require participants to create personal accounts, and personal information should not be entered into the simulation. A responsible adult or organisation should supervise use by children.

We may update this notice when SafePort or applicable requirements change. The revised date will be shown at the top of this page.

SafePort is an independent educational simulation. Its fictional scenario and results are designed for learning and group discussion; they are not legal, financial, emergency-response or sustainability advice and do not replace an organisation’s own policies or professional judgement.
